Warrington water company United Utilities to sell-off all non-core businesses

‘);

UNITED Utilities is to sell-off all its non-regulated interests, chairman John McAdam confirmed at today’s annual meeting in Manchester.

These include a 100% stake in an Australian business and interests held by the Warrington-based group in ventures in Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland and four UK-based projects.

The disposals are in line with the group’s strategy of focusing on its core activity of water services in the North West.

Mr McAdam said all the disposal proceeds will be retained by the group.
