KINGSPORT — TriSummit Bank has opened its second Kingsport financial center in the landmark building on historic Church Circle.
“The renovation and additions are almost complete and the bank’s corporate offices have also been relocated to the second floor of the building,” said R. Lynn Shipley, Jr, TriSummit Chairman and CEO. “We’re really pleased to be open for business and are looking forward to a month of grand opening events in February to celebrate the opening of the second Kingsport office, the renewal of a beautiful downtown building, and our third anniversary serving the Tri-Cities communities.”
Kingsport city and chamber officials will be on hand Feb. 2 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the facility.
The bank will host a two-day open house Feb. 25 and 26. Building tours will be offered, refreshments will be provided, and prizes will be given away to celebrate the building’s grand opening and the bank’s third anniversary.
Senior vice president and Kingsport area manager Ted Fields has announced the appointment of the new financial center’s managers. Joyce D. Dockery, who was previously manager of the bank’s financial center on Stone Drive, has been named manager of the Church Circle location. Brent D. Mullins has been named vice president and financial center manager of the Stone Drive office.
Dockery joined the TriSummit team in early 2007 and oversaw the opening of the first Kingsport financial center office for TriSummit. She has more than 40 years of experience in financial services in the Tri-Cities. Prior to joining TriSummit Bank, she worked for AmSouth Bank, most recently as a vice president and manager of the North Johnson City branch. During her career she has served in branch manager positions with AmSouth and its predecessor banks in downtown Kingsport, Mount Carmel, Lynn Garden and Patrick Henry offices.
Dockery is a graduate of the Southeastern School of Banking and Leadership Kingsport. Dockery’s community involvement has included past board service with Opportunities Unlimited, Roller-Russ, and Habitat for Humanity. In 1992 she was named Woman of the Year by the Altrusa Club of Kingsport. Currently she is a member of both the Downtown Kingsport Optimist Club and the Lynn Garden Optimist Club.
Brent Mullins is now responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, business development initiatives and community efforts of the Kingsport financial center at 1999 E. Stone Drive. He has 12 years in the financial services industry working primarily in the Tri-Cities market. Most recently Mullins served as vice president and branch manager for First Community Bank of East Tennessee in Church Hill and Colonial Heights. He has also held similar positions in the Kingsport market with Regions Bank and its predecessor AmSouth, and CitiFinancial Inc.
Mullins holds a bachelor’s degree from King College in Bristol, Tenn. An active community volunteer, he is a past president and continues to serve on the board of East Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce, volunteers with Junior Achievement and Church Hill Parks and Recreation, and is an active member of the Downtown Kingsport chapter of Optimist Club International.
